I love hearing how Bush is Hitler and how we don't live in a free nation and how we should obey the words of 'truth' by Chomsky, Zinn, Vidal, or the late Edward Said. Great reading for colleges that have this air of arrogant 'intellectual superiority' where students agree with concepts explained by their liberal professors. They believe that they are so 'enlightened' that they could simply talk sense into an armed militant, or that Muslim fundamentalists will leave us alone if we suddenly left the entire Middle East. As if jihadists, for instance, can be sat with over a cup of coffee and told to lay down their arms and forget about a new Islamic Empire and the second coming of the 12th Imam. I'd love to see those on the far-left convince jihadists to give basic civil rights to women and minorities, or even allow religious freedom which the far-left champions. They would probably be as responsive as the Sheehan crowd when it comes to their 'tolerance' of different views.And if you hippie pinko leftists want 'change,' there's much more productive things you can do besides having large gatherings shouting 'no blood for oil,' calling everyone ignorant except you, and complaining about the man 'oppressing' you while smoking pot, playing video games, guitars, and playing with your oil made frisbies on campus.
