Oct 12, 2008 - this is WRONG!!! Diesel explodes from compression not from a spark... >.>

yamaguto Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - there are not sparks, of course, that you see is the point of injection, and the injectors fill the explosion chamber just when the cylinder is some degrees before of the end of compression stroke. it´s a powerful and low emissions engine, but is noisy at low rpm.

jayguy173 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - its not wrong its just not a diesel its a gas engine

HCRCA Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - no its diesel dumbass

kdmcrbnbck Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - subaru are chavs cars

greenpowercr Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - it's not explosion, it's COMBUSTION

greenpowercr Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - direct inyection dude

greenpowercr Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Wow, i just saw in the street an subaru legacy that had a huge sticker in the doors that said "2008 subaru legacy boxer turbo diesel" i guess it was the first one here.

gerandrade Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - O Saburu é um motor fantastico, ele esta, presente na terra, na agua e no ar, só falta eles desenvolver um motor diesel de alta rotação para ser utilizado na aviação ultralevianas. Parabéns.

RadKuntSmith Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - No its not. Diesel engines have no spark plugs they use COMPRESSION to ignite the fuel. If your going to argue a point at least know what your on about. Dumb ass

j3wz85 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - radkuntsmith that was direct injection retard.. not spark. diesel is the best

HCRCA Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - nos hit those were injectors dumbass. ive never seen parak plugs that big! your retarded.

luiseduardo586 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - I agree with you, that guy is a dummie..... Diesel is better and more environmental friendly.

gpx250ninja Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Errm.. since when do 6 jets of fuel spray from a spark plug?In a high swirl, high speed motor like you're seeing here there is only a very short ignition delay, which may be why you think you're seeing a spark. I think you're the one who should "at least know what your on about. Dumb ass" (sic.)

CPUOverclocker64 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - that's not a spark plug. this is a diesel engine, meaning that's a "unit injector", which is the similar to direct injection in a gas engine. While some diesel engines use glow plugs to help them get started, spark plugs are not used. Compression of the fuel forces ignition.

RadKuntSmith Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Im Not saying there is a spark. IM SAYING ITS A DIESEL ENGINE! With NO Spark plugs.

MsgChris Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - bingo :)

eulluisgtr34 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - sick!!!

Mattster2k6 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Thats how a diesel engine works. It compresses air at a high ratio heating it up and injects fuel at close to TDC and it gets ignited forcing the cylinder down or in this case back.

oldskoolcrazy Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - air preheat is also used in some of the Perkins diesels for industrial use

oldskoolcrazy Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - 240 ltr and only 2750 horse?Perkins makes a 61 litre that makes 2600 horse @ 1800 rpm for generator use

soryu2222 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - sweet! who do i make the cheque out to?

un4m3d4 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - A heavily modified Viper V10 will make 2.2k hp at ~7800 rpm. There's a guy in my town with one in the 16-1800 range.

RoganSF Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - way to bring up irrelavent shit. they are not compeating for peak power. but power over a LONG TIME. can your buddies viper run that 1800hp range for 100 days straighT like a generator is designed to do? see the point.

Fuxolf Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Que magnifico video¡¡
