Sep 8, 2008 - than they won't spare much energy :) - anyway, this whole thing depends on how much it will cost and what amount of energy can be spared, I'm not saying that no saving is possible but still insist that the additional costs will far exceed the sparings... - if something is more complicated, the maintenance costs are increasing exponentially... :)

Sep 8, 2008 - This looks very dangerous, considering it will be operating 24/7 transporting masses of people. I worked for 28 years for a commuter railroad and seeing a train that is designed not to stay in one piece does not sound like a good idea. Safety should come first. Should is the operative word.

But I do agree that the small train might not have enough capacity. What really amazes me is how negatively people react when this kind of thing is introduced. This is a concept, an idea. Just goes to prove that Westerners no longer dare to dream. The beginning of the new millennium really did mark the end Western supremacy then, I suppose.

Sep 8, 2008 - that is amazing how the base of the train never loses momentum, now they just need to harness most of the power used to slow down one of the mini carts and use that to help get it going again, so you arent wasting any energy
