Jul 26, 2008 - Hey kids! (Even though I'm only 12 years old.) Do you want to write your own song that sounds like Caravan? Well, today's your lucky day. If you play a Bb instrument, you can use the scale: D, Eb, F#, G, A, Bb, C#, D! So get writing today! (Okay that was a retarded way to put it, but I was bored.) But I'm telling thye truth.

Jul 26, 2008 - Juan Tizol, Ellington's fabulous Puerto Rican trombonist probably had much more to do with its composition...but like many Ellington pieces, it's debatable. Tizol also wrote Perdido. One should not forget interpretations by Bart and Lisa Simpson.
