Oct 11, 2008 - i think the scene was so overwhelming for him that that's how he reacted. he's a method actor, so to him it was as if he was really dying. i'm just hoping he didn't throw up there...:(just watching how much pain is in jared's face for this scene makes me tear up.

Oct 11, 2008 - he's a method actor, so he becomes the character. this would mean that in doing this scene, he pretty much would have felt as if he were dying himself and so the coughing is probably how he reacts to it. in performing for this scene he made himself sick. just goes to show how dedicated he is...
