Nov 20, 2008 - Because Industrial proper, as defined by the likes of Throbbing Gristle and Industrial Records back in the '70s, sounds nothing like this.Post-industrial includes EBM, Darkwave, Power Noise (which is what this is), Coldwave, Neofolk, Martial industrial/military pop, and Aggrotech, among others.The sound's changed quite a bit in the past 30 years.

Many post-industrial subgenres (with the exception of Neofolk, maybe), rely even heavier on synthesized beats and a relentless abuse of the Roland-909 drum machine. Post-industrial is usually much less free-form and more impersonal, to say the least.
