Jul 26, 2008 - China has nothing to gain with the conflict in darfur, what they gain is oil from sudan which IS NOT coming all of a sudden because of a conflict.

Jul 26, 2008 - Of total exports of oil from Africa last year, 8.7 percent went to China while 33 percent went to the United States and 36 percent to Europe."If 8.7 percent symbolizes looting of resources, I don't know what words you use to describe the countries that received 33 percent and 36 percent,"
Lawman52 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - The U.N. isn't going to do a damn thing about this. It's all talk and no action. There's simply nothing profitable for those corrupt liars to gain in that nation. The most they would ever do is send angry letters to Sudan's leader.
TheRealDustyMalone Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - In May, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Haroun based on his alleged involvement in war crimes in the Sudanese region. Still nothing has been done as of today (September 14, 2007) Why?

kickass080 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - The U.N. and Mia Farrow should stop pressuring China to send troops to Darfur. Many of these soldiers are from one-child families due to efforts of the Chinese gov't to curb the growth of its population. Imagine telling people that they can only have one child, and now imagine telling them that, their only child will have to go to Darfur and risk getting killed in order to save the lives of other people. Please show some compassion to the parents of these soldiers.

XelAeroline Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Too bad UN troops can't do anything... Didn't you see Hotel Rwanda? They can't shoot so they can't detour so in all reality they're worthless. What little they can do is stopped by the fact that UN troops are only allowed in if that country requests it... obviously Sudan doesn't want to be caught in a lie, so it probaby won't happen anytime soon.
mayalove Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - Sadly, the Iraq war has crippled us. Sure, we can send a small amount of troops there, but the world hates us now that even sending troops for a damn good reason will be seen as bad.

blake18 Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - They actually denied it?! WTF is wrong with those people?? This is just like the people that denied Rwanda and the holocaust.
Amerizionist Says:
Jul 26, 2008 - The UNHRC is an abomination, making a mockery of the great mission it was created to pursue. While denying true genocide under their very noses, they choose to behave as a lynch mob using all their abilities to demonize and legitimize Israel, a democratic nation under attack by the very nations that are committing and enabling the worst atrocities since the Nazi Holocaust.
