Jul 26, 2008 - The Jets were lucky to survive as long as they did. Winnipeg is a city of not even a million, unless they had a big market TV deal, they were always fighting an uphill battle financially. BUT! The NHL could've saved this franchise along with atleast the Nords if they had installed the cap system we have now when we had the mid 90's lockout.That said, the Jets are missed, my heart goes out to your people, you were great fans of the best sport on the planet.
