Mandelbrot. Deep zoom. 2^316!. Thats 315 zooms.Note. zoom doesnt deviate from the X axis, to save render time.First frame doubles in size every second. You world need a monitor 2^316 times the size of a normal one to view the whole of the first frame by the time you get to the last frame. That's approx 2^176 times the size of the known universe. Thats just so big you cant comprehend it. Done using fractalExtreme.Dell D420, dual core, 2Hrs 30 mins render on the dell d420.Sorry about the jerkiness and loss of definition, I had to get it below 100MB. The original avi was 223mb!Technical info.Program FractalExtremeRender time 150 mins. dell d420 dual core 1.2Ghz, 2 Gb ram.FINAL FRAME STATSmax iterations 29220352bit calculations,1,615,000 iterations per second.co-ordinates at centre of frameREAL -1.865,725,138,512,217,656,771,001,047,866,232,180,936,734,191,728,691,192,292,284,866,184,925,781,685,537,956,232,149,654,472,220,9imaginary -0.000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,002,9magnification 1.335E+095 !!

Oct 12, 2008 - just 315? once i have the full version, i'll post a mandelbrot 7200x zoom, the maximum zoom on fractal extreme.

LaviStrikesBack Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - and, try to diversify ur zoom route, not just on the same plane only...

Oct 12, 2008 - An acid trip is nothing like this.

Gyphia Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Why, because you say so?. I think it's fine as it is.

1love2be Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - This a good one, did you make that one?it reminds me in the early 90's when it all began with my new PC and the world fractal community. This one is just the way I use to have them. Do you have anything in HiDef to share?

jatineke Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - i agree this is naturally

jatineke Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - far beyond WOW !

kornbelt Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - There's no way that could be bigger than the universe, since it would mean we travelled across the universe faster than light!

vinm300 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Actually if you point a laser at the moon & traverse it the point of light can move across faster than light but it's not carrying any information it's an illusion.Likewise if you had some giant scissorsand snapped them quickly shut the point of intersection of the blades can move faster than light....nothing has actually moved : you could look at a star than whiz your head round to look at another star quicker than light can travel between them...nothing has actually moved.

ImpoliteFruit Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Since the animation isn't happening in real space (it is pure math), it isn't limited to normal physics, and can therefore move faster than light.Besides, it is a zoom, so no movement is involved.

kornbelt Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - oh I know. I was just being toopid.

ImpoliteFruit Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - No worries :)

Oct 12, 2008 - very impressive ... a bg-music in it would be nice =)but how on earth do you computate such incredible large/small numbers ??

cyborgtroy Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - With a program. :P Real men write their own fractal drawing things!

cyborgtroy Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - Well the computer program doesn't have a finite speed of light. Other than his rendering speed.

synergy021 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - So you're saying.... There Is No SPOON?

synergy021 Says:

Oct 12, 2008 - one more thing that comes to mind: Oh my God, It's full of stars!I feel like i just traveled a really long distance watching this fractal zoom. But question: Why after a few seconds does it seem like the point of zoom, this path.... It seems like the fractals shapes are perfectly centered around that point of zoom? All the spherical tunnels and such narrow down perfectly to this path but in the beginning it seems like it was started at an arbitrary point on the fractal horizon. Strange..
