Anyway back in the late 50s she sent off this tune to an american record comapny and they did not get back to her. Jul 26, 2008 - A beautiful song and it's obvious he didn't write it about drugs. But, there is a resonance I think because drug use (especially among the young) represents loss of innocence, in a way. Maybe that's why the connection stuck so hard to the song.
