He actually didn't have enough power, so he did the next best thing, he self detonated the Aegis, it still won the battle for him.Athrun wasn't FORCED to do anything, he could have escaped without blowing it up. He could have let go and gone on fighting him another way. Athrun had options Kira was pinned.

As, if Shinn weren't a better pilot than Kira, he wouldn't be able to thoroughly route him like he did in episode 34.Since, in my world, we use evidence to support the things we say. So that it makes sense why we think what we do.

You could argue he was still a newbie at that time, but it seems you ignore Kira's fight vs the Impulse (Kira was distracted and trying to help the Archangel?). Sorry, but Shinn never once beat Kira's STRIKE FREEDOM with his DESTINY gundam. I guess that DISPROVES your position. Destiny was far superior to Impulse SO WHY NOT?Because he couldn't beat Kira when he focused?
