Oct 8, 2008 - It shows how you're meant to pronounce the word. The 3 looks like the letter "ayn" in Arabic.. so you know that the A in "aref" has to be pronounced a lil harsher. But hard to explain but I hope you understand now? Hehe

Oct 8, 2008 - If you write a 5 it is like pronouncing a K. If you write a 7 it is like pronouncing a harsh H. They look like that in the arabic alphabet. T also looks a little like 6. The list goes on!!!!
