Jul 26, 2008 - The editing in this particular song is worldclass...of course with the fabulous Ms. Raitt delivery....but back to the editing...it reminds me of when Roark admitted how much he loved Dominique."LOVE HAS NO PRIDE"...Remember the quote." I've never been anybody's good time before"...Back to the original part of the message, you JG2626 are a true professional....this video is part of my life. You optimize evey scene! aynrand

Jul 26, 2008 - Much rather see photos of BONNIE before this stuff. And I really prefer live performances, but her vocals on this song are impeccable.

Jul 26, 2008 - I wonder if Eric Katz knew he was writing a country song. Or if Bonnie knew she was singing one. This isn't criticism. The marketing categories are largely meaningless. But the song is very different from Bonnie's other early stuff, which is wonderful blues. This is wonderful country.

Jul 26, 2008 - I was only aware of Linda Ronstadt's version of this song till I found Bonnie's version in my husband's Musicmatch library and downloaded it to my Mp3 player. The first time I heard it I was blown away! I love her subtle yet powerful rendition. She is a living legend. Thanks for posting this!

johngalt2626 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Just for the record, isn't this a John Prine song? Though I do love her cover.

johngalt2626 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - The composers are Eric Kaz and Libby Titus "Love Has No Pride" (with Libby Titus) performed by Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, Rita Coolidge, Linda Ronstadt, Michelle Wright and Jane Monheitjohnny

uncledave53 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I Love Bonnie. And I hope this spurs more people to seek out her work. The Ronstadt version was crap. Pure crap

Jul 26, 2008 - Arguably my very favorite of Bonnie's recordings. Proudly testosterone-fueled, and it still moistens my eyes every single effing time I hear it (as it did decades ago).Very nearly perfect. Thank you so much for the post.
