Oct 8, 2008 - I never understood why some people snicker at this song, classifying it as "corny". I find it absolutely beautiful in its simplicity. Thanks for posting it! :)

Oct 8, 2008 - Yes, I agree with you about this song. It gives me chills each and every time I hear Glen Campbell sing, "and I need you more than want you... and I want you for all time..." Jimmy Webb wrote this one as well as Galveston, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, and even Macarthur Park! (BTW, I met Glen Campbell once in 1981).

Oct 8, 2008 - Jimmy's songs are timeless, and stand the test of time. He was kind enough to respond to an invite to NYC for composers/songwriters to talk about the art of songwriting. Look forward to hearing from the master: he's up there with Gershwin, Porter, and Brian Wilson

Oct 8, 2008 - Funny how listening to this music - that I have memories of when I was a kid - so moving. Webb is a legend, as is Campbell, he did amazing justice to these songs. Would love to hear someone like Paul Weller or Noel Gallagher do some of webbs stuff.
