Aug 20, 2008 - It's extremely hard form me continue to hear you say I have provided no FACTS. I have provide about 20 links for you to look at, I bet you haven't looked at a single one. I have provided FACTS. You simply choose not accept them. There is nothing I can do about that, and I'm not going to let it get me all worked up. maue, please take a look at the FACTS, perhaps you could even provide some of your own eh? I have yet to see any of your evidence against it.
km6xz Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Two points: The talk is interesting and well researched but please lose the voice distortion, it detracts from an otherwise wonderful video. The last statement of Evolution is not a theory, its a fact is not quite right. The theory fo evolution fits all the criteria of the great theories we have based science and our understanding of the universe.
km6xz Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Cont. A theory is not a guess(as creationists falsely claim), it is a framework that explains and is predictive of some phenomina. The "Theory of Relativity" or "Quantum Theory" are examples of frameworks that explain and predict with spectacular accuracy. To call Evolution a theory is a high praise indeed, no matter how creationists want to distort the meaning of the word. And yes, Evolution is FACT also but that is a different issue.
MeIoco Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Thanks for your comments km6xz. I know Evolution is a Scientific Theory, and I know what that means. You might be amazed at the number of people that don't.The voice thing was an experiment that doesn't seem to have worked, consider it lost.
kamijk Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Next time mention it when you start a new thread or something, but it looks like enough people know things to answer all you questions.
maue1969 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - So, which one do we go by: theory of relativity or quantum theory or evolution or big bang??? If a theory is not a guess, then it might be an afirmation. At the same time you say that theory is just a "PREDICTION" and only within a "FRAME WORK". If all these were not theories and you would have the FACTS, then scientists would be out of work already. But just THEORIES has kept men going round and round thru the same cylcle for years. theory is just a guess based on what you see and understand.
kamijk Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Now you're just being silly. Theories and facts are not a hierarchy. You have facts and models that explain these facts and make predictions are theories. I think science classes in high school should explain this a little more thoroughly so we don't get arguments like that comment there. Is there even a dash of conspiracy in there?
frankbollox Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - get rid of that ridiculous voice manipulation, it doesn't make your story any better
maue1969 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - so, how's evolution coming?? where are the monkies that still evolutioning into men??
MeIoco Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - maue1969 I'm sory you don't understand evolution, but there are no shortage of ways to educate yourself.
maue1969 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - sorry, but there is no proof of monkey turning into man. a snake did not become a four leged animal. Does a baby human coming to life with 6 fingers or some other extra body part means we are evolutioning???? how did all races of dog came about?? was it hundredht of other kind of animals turned into each race of dogs?? or all dogs came out of a single male and female dog?? with all the tech nowaday you should be able to show evolution from begaining to end. "SHOW" me..we have youtube.
MeIoco Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - As I said before, it's not my job to educate you. You could find these answers for yourself if you weren't so intellectually lazy.
mystisme Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - i do not refute evolution but their is a theory since 1923 that that study foetal evolution and to taday they take mitochondrial study and everything support evolution but upsidedown than darwin meaning their wher a bipedal humanoid ancestory that we came from and soon in the evolution a branch of it became apes wich mean we never been apes ,by the way it is truth that chromosome 2 had been fuse but something happen in our history and i think taht the e.t. is not strange to our jump in evolution

Aug 20, 2008 - I voe how dinosaurs lived 250 million years ago when carbon dating only goes 30,000 years back max. I also love how a metor killed them all out, and scientist supposedly found this crater. But if it killed them 250,000,000 years ago, I think erosion and the earth ability to heal itself would have taken care of it long ago...
MeIoco Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - ermm.. 65 Million years Dinasours where destroyed that's 65,000,000. I'm not sure where you get your information about carbon and or radimetric dating, but I think you should look somewhere other than a creationist site for scientific answers. seriously, you should check your sources a little better.I won't embarass you, but really where did you get that dribble?
fiercegallantry Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - The earliest dinosaurs lived long before 65 million B.C.
1emart1 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - monkies never evolved in to people. People and monkeys shared a common ancestor.
theoriginalSkooby Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Please don't have children. You are a moron.
riversonthemoon Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Carbon dating isn't reliable beyond about 50,000 years, but there are many radio-isotopes that can be used to date older things. As for the impact crater that is the smoking gun of the event that killed the dinosaurs, it is covered by limestone, but humans are quite ingenious investigators and have great ways to map the environment and see what isn't immediately apparent. Check out a story at national geographic called "Dinosaur-Killer" Asteroid Crater Imaged for First Time.
ryanbert Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Meloco, I said that according to scientist, dinosaurs first arrived 250,000,000 years ago in the Triassic period. So I got my "dribble" from a legit site, in your eyes.
ryanbert Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Thanks for backing me up.
fiercegallantry Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Sure. OTOH, paleontologists do not use carbon dating on dinosaur fossils. Other types of radio-isotopes are used. Also, while the earliest dinosaurs are fro more than 200 milion years ago, the extinction event dates from about 65 million B.C. Sorry for any confusion I may have contributed.
maue1969 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - and who is this common ancestor???I would like to know. I heard that the moon moves away from the earth so much inches or so per year. is this true??
1emart1 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Not who, but what. I do not know the specific name of the species, but it really doesn't matter for making the point that you don't understand evolutionary theory. I am fairly certain it would have been classified as a primate, though. I have no idea if the moon is moving away from the earth by inches per year. Why is this relevant?
maue1969 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - I do not mean to insult you in any way. How can you win a debate with no facts? you still have not proved where we come from or going to. Answer me one question: When did the monkey stoped turning into men? aren't we still evolutioning? isnt this what evolution means?. I'm not a scientist or chemist or anything like that. I am just a simple man with lots of questions. To me, evolution and big bang does not make sence. (Untill proven wrong).
