It´s like a group-pressure, working demand that goes all the way from the top and down. I have met people who are nervous wrecks of the workload. And how can people get time for children if they have to work so long hours. The clerks from newer states are worst off since they get less paid than other countries. But it all depends on the environment & colleagues, of course...I don't think that EU employees get up every morning and think about how to have fun at the office and at the expense the taxpayers money!!!!!and... Belgium is NOT the only country in the world with high income tax rate!
