Oct 14, 2008 - WHO NEEDS THESE INSTRUMENTS???really nice though.

allengarvin Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - Dolmetsch is working on a sub-sub-contrabass, which should be a 5th below this. Not as pretty as this one, since it's square, but it has traditional type keywork. Paetzold made square subcontrabasses out of plywood that were much easier to hold and finger.

DFendrrr Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - there is still the sub sub-contrabass recorder and the hyperbass flute is the biggest

OcarinaSoulFlame2055 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - Wow. For something so gigantic it has such a beautiful sound.

RonnieBass Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - It's simply a wonderful bass instrument - I love all these types of basses! At this size it's reminiscent of a huge organ pipe but beautiful. There were a couple of huge foot pedal operated basses in the past - the player stood on a high platform and bowed the strings. Not for the faint-hearted!!

krushade100123 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - wat is dat,a bass basson?

nanoquaver Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - "dat" is a sub-contrabass recorder, and you would know that if you read the caption. a "bass bassoon" is redundant. what you might be speaking of is a "contrabassoon", which this is not. open a music book.

sicilian3333 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - how do you make one? id like to try.

Bryguy8822 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - I like how the guy below is making fun of the other for not being a native english speaker....

facemash Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - The caption says nothing about a recorder. Get the piccolo out of your ass.

Symphonyboy1 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - no its not--there is a dounble contrabass flute which can play basically an octave below this

Symphonyboy1 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - Beautiful!! I want to write music for this instrument. Ever travel to the US to play gigs?? What's the written range of the instrument... does it read music in treble clef? Does it transpose?

nanoquaver Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - the subtitles you foolyour E string is too tight. sheesh

euphfellowship Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - It says "Recorders The Sub Contrabass". It's broken English, but I knew right away that this was a video about a sub contrabass recorder.

facemash Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - I didn't watch the video before commenting. You are still being a douche about it.

kratosofluin Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - In South Park, the kids tried to play the brown noise with those cheap school ones. If they had this, the whole school would shit themselves.

PrimaPunchy Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - I LOVE BLOCK FLUTES, I didn't know the greatest flute is in my own country.

Stratoman77 Says:
