Oct 14, 2008 - man, that lady doesnt know what she talking about!! The original 'blue persians' were a breed created for the 1872 Crystal Palace Cat Show. Original 'Blue' pedigree came from mixing a Chartreux with a 'big strong british cat' and later persian interbreeding to give those gorgeous round heads. The most famous BB is of course Lewis Carroll 'cheshire cat' :D

Oct 14, 2008 - YES! I searched high and ow for a cat that was a companion and happy to be confined to house as I had a busy road in front of my house back then. I went to the supreme cat show in ondon and asked lots of questions to breeders of different cats, everyone said the same "go look at the BSH section" So, off I went and sure enough, my perfect cat awaited me. I cannot recommend this breed more if you want a teddy bear of a cat.

His coat was like chinchilla !! Very friendly and he was extremely quiet!!! . I can tell you love your blue!! Does he say anything! My Dr. Watson was just about mute

Oct 14, 2008 - I had one and they are calm and laid back and mine was almost mute!! some cats of any breed are lap some aren't No guarantees But their coat is like chinchilla You will not be sorry getting one of these large, brown eyed beauties!!

Oct 14, 2008 - My Smokie cat is very vocal. She is an indoor cat who goes out to the backyard on a leash and when she wants us to take her outside she can be vocal and annoying. Also she does not like to be held and will give out a sorrowful meow.
