Jul 26, 2008 - I'm 20, this music is all way before my time. But Hermans Hermits is the best. I was singing Henry VIII one time and my mom was like omg i had a huge crush on peter noone when i was your age. I laughed.

Jul 26, 2008 - I've got a cassette with some songs of Herman's Hermits. They're great :-) Had just today the idea of searching them on Youtube, cause a friend of mine mentioned them and I had a 'ohrwurm' all day.^^ Think that was a GREAT idea =)

Jul 26, 2008 - I see Peter Noone do his show at Walt Disney World every spring. He's one of the few singers of that era who still sounds and performs as good as ever! (Davy Jones of the Monkees is another.)

Jul 26, 2008 - I loved all their songs; No Milk, Mrs. Brown, Something Tells Me, There's a Kind of Hush. Silhouettes on the Shade was the first hit I think.I remember asking my father for a dime to play it on the Jukebox(we were driving across America)as I stared at all the new songs, a man cme up and gave me a quarter!3 Songs..Woooo!...it wasn't till many years later when I understood that in the song, he was looking at the wrong window !

Jul 26, 2008 - Several years ago I heard Peter Noone doing an interview on radio. Regarding this song he said the record company deliberately "speeded up" the song making their voices sound higher than normal. He also mentioned the lead guitarist (who's name I forget) as someone who did great studio work for the little guitar break in the middle.

Jul 26, 2008 - Good job here with the slide show effects! It almost makes up for not having a clip of the Hermits doing this song live (or lip-synched in person) on You Tube.
