TON put out an album first, but 69 Eyes formed first.I doubt the 69 eyes had even heard of Type O Negative by the time they had begun developed their style...But I could be wrong.Cept I do know that TON didn't actually invent gothic metal. They just influenced it greatly...

What's the big deal here? This is what's bull about music these days... it's not about the music anymore! Who cares if they stole a look or sound from someone else. And since when did Type O Negative patent the "goth" look and sound? Get over this crap and just enjoy the music for what it is... MUSIC!
