Nov 18, 2008 - Man, we wouldn't have Highways today if it weren't for Futurama. How do you sigh at that! For christs sakes, most of the country had mud roads and outhouses in 39! Futurama was Visionary and Revolutionary! America seems to lack these qualities nowadays. I suggest reading a bit of Ayn Rand.

Nov 18, 2008 - Why wouldn't we have highways? After all, Italy has had them since 1925 and Germany since 1935. And ground was broken for the Pasadena Freeway -- the first in America -- in 1938, before the 1939 World's Fair opened.
