Nov 18, 2008 - Against Me! put on an awesome show for anyone willing to throw a gesture of goodwill to others in the world. Your just a douchebag cause you WEREN'T at that show.It doesnt matter for shit if the people there believed anything about Anarchism.

Nov 18, 2008 - thank jesus... the best am! shows were the ones that i went to back when they played in front of 15 people... not 20,000 douchebags
CloudMeetsSky Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - i resent that.i am not a douchbag.sorry i never had the money to fly to florida and see them in a tiny pub for one night.
CloudMeetsSky Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - oh right because i forgot you can tell an anarchist by how they look.idiot. you have no idea of there political views or ideals.
hafpak Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Really? I thought it was a great choice doing it.
flavouredblack Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - ya really. but i did like the back up vocal stuff. good songs.
DvineINFEKT Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - seriously dumbshit. How would Against Me!, or any other band in the world, for that matter, get their message out if all they played were clubs of 15 people? about a quarter the bands i listen to came from seeing them live and performing with other bands i knew about already. Your just another prick who listens to music when its unknown and hates it as soon as more than 25 people like it.You should get over your ego.You should like music for what it is, not its popularity. You're not cool.
DvineINFEKT Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Oh. and for reference - this was at The Metro - one of the SMALLEST venues in Chicago. The only smaller one that is still considered a venue is The Pearl Room in Mokena. thats almost three hours away. So dont go prattling on about 20,000 douchebags. It was 1,000 people. tops.more likely about 500-600
xJESUSisMAGICx Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - oh how i just love making people angry over the internet... good shit. oh and i didnt have a bad thing to say about am! so i dont know where you got off about me hating them.... its just annoying as hell when you see people who dont know shit about the roots... thats alls ims sayins...question.. why are you so offended that im calling people douchebags?? are you one of em? or are you confident enough to not get worked up over comments on youtube?
xJESUSisMAGICx Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - maybe ur the dumbshit.... not me
DvineINFEKT Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - No im offended cause I was at that show and I went cause i was glad that a band like AM! would play a show without pay to do some good.If you dont hate them - i apologize for assuming. But then im going to get off on saying that fans dont need to know shit about the roots. If you enjoy it - power to ya! You dont need a music major to like dream theater, and you dont need to be an anarchist to like AM!I went with two friends who had never even HEARD of AM and after that show - they loved em!
Carouselzero Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Your speaking all the right words..I totally agree with you and despise people who like a band as long as they have less than 100 fans. Scenesters they are.
sandmanowns Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Thankfully sum ppl get what its like being an artist. ppl need 2 shut the fuck up and stop calling them sellouts for making money. who gives half a fuck what they make. the message is still there
crunge91 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I love how every against me! video on youtube has this huge battle over if they "sold out" or not. if you didn't want against me! to get big, then you shouldn't have bought their albums, t's , misc. merch and gone to their shows. this is a capitalist society. music is a product (as a musician i know it hurts to say that). they wrote good music. now they make good money. ipso facto.
juniperolocke Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I'm not an anarchist (nor a liberal), but I LOVE to sing along to this band, this song especially. These guys straight up rock some ass off.
bglad4life Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I think the Vic Theatre is smaller. And the Fireside Bowl was the smallest, but I dont think it's there anymore. I havent lived in Chicago for 8 years, But I miss ALL the small venues.
DvineINFEKT Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I forgot about Vic Theatre.but you meant the bowling alley right, Fireside Bowl? I dont think they do concerts anymore unfortunately. That sucks too. Its pretty close to where I live - its in Logan Square. Heh. <3 Chi-Town. I cant imagine living anywhere else.
timandjeremie Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - are there more videos frmo this show??? its amazing.

Nov 18, 2008 - You thought I was only jokingWhen I screamed "Kill Whitey!"At the top of my lungsAt the cops in their carsAnd the men in their suits. No, I won't take your handAnd marry the State.'Cause baby, I'm an anarchist,You're a spineless liberal. We marched together for the eight-hour dayAnd held hands in the streets of Seattle,But when it came time to throw bricksThrough that Starbucks window,You left me all alone.
EisaiEnasApoTusPolus Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - You watched in awe at the red,White, and blue on the fourth of july. While those fireworks were exploding,I was burning that fuckerAnd stringing my black flag high,Eating the peanutsThat the parties have tossed youIn the back seat of your father's new Ford. You believe in the ballot,Believe in reform. You have faith in the elephant and jackass,And to you, solidarity's a four-letter word. We're all hypocrites,But you're a patriot
EisaiEnasApoTusPolus Says:

EisaiEnasApoTusPolus Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I'm a molotov cocktail. You're Dom Perignon.Baby, what's that confused look in your eyes? What I'm trying to say is thatI burn down buildingsWhile you sit on a shelf inside of them. You call the copsOn the looters and piethrowers. They call it class war,I call it co-conspirators.
EisaiEnasApoTusPolus Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - "Baby, I'm An Anarchist!"Through the best of times,Through the worst of times,Through Nixon and through Bush,Do you remember '36?We went our seperate ways. You fought for Stalin.I fought for freedom. You believe in authority.I believe in myself.
EisaiEnasApoTusPolus Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - stupid youtube system...i cant paste them on a single commentbut here are the lyrics!!!ehm...i mean THE AWESOME lyrics!!enjoyand remember...we fight for freedom, for equality , for our survival against those who want us all quiet and patheticWE ARE NOT FUCKING ROBOTS and we wont act like them
