Nov 18, 2008 - My father is a retired Naval Diving Officer who was also a Master Diver. He always used a Rolex Submariner as time was very important considering the depths he dove to.
lastmiles Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I can get a casio for $20 that will tell time with greater accuracy. The purpose of a watch on your wrist is to tell you the bloody time and a rolex, like all mechanical movements, fails in the accuracy department. It is just a vanity piece for morons stupid enough to blow money on a chunk of metal.
maximusben1 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - most Rolexes are within the COSC standard, so they only win or lose -4/+6 seconds a day. They also can be adjusted by your AD so they can be around -2/+3 seconds a day. Also, you don't buy a mechanical watch for precision, you buy it for the art, the craftmanship involved and the ingeneering behind it. Mechanical watch are the exploit of human ingenuity and are for many, like art, because they are so well decorated. If I want a precise watch, I'll buy a quartz model.
Groovyman12 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - COSC certification says that it can only lose 4 seconds a day, or gain 6 seconds a day. My rolex, because of moderate temperatures, looses only 1 seconds a day. Also, I'll have to will away my rolex, because they last for years and years.
ahahauhigrugui Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - i have one for $3.000
CardiffCentral Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Nowadays having a watch isn't about time. It's about making a statement.
enigma9051 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - After watching the video I still have no idea what he was talking about. Why does one want to set the time to 10 pm? What purpose does it serve? --- A lot of words to say nothing IMO.
black562 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Well gee, maybe if its 10pm where you're traveling to? That would be my first guess. Don't judge what you don't understand.
Uppergicolonhole Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - You can set the time for your local time, and then the time in another time zone, or it can be used when you are traveling. This is more of an expensive piece of jewelry rather than a great timekeeper. A Casio world timer can show you the current time in every major city in the world for 50 bucks. This piece is for rich people and people with credit cards.

Nov 18, 2008 - I have a fake Yacht Master that cost £35 its looks like the real thing, acts like the real thing but the only thing is that its not the real thing.Just dont see the point in buying a watch that costs thousands and for what, somting that you will cover up with a jacket or a shirt? and its not like you can say "hay, look at my watch, its soo cool!" everybody will think your a stuck up git and will think your anal because of it.But they do look nice and i will probs get a real 1, i'm only 17 atm
stopkris Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - no body cares stfu lol
Fr4GMeisteR Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - well he does have a point. or maybe ur one of them morons, u know what i mean.
stopkris Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - morons as in the context of what is described? morons as in ppl who buy the real ones? i dont know what u mean cuz ur statment is kinda unclear.
204670 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - ok now tot he bad news how much it cost?
azaas Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - First of all to the trained eye that piece of shit you got neither LOOKS like the real thing NOR acts like the real thing...The flaws are there for someone with experience to spot them, and the cheap ass mechanism lying in there will not be providing the feel or the smoothness of the real calibers of Rolex. You will see the point in buying the real thing if you read a bit about it and if you actually wear one for a few minutes.Save money and get a real one asap...
wiseman091190 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - TBH i dont give a shit what you thinksecondly it looks real to the untrained eye and thats good enough for me cause i dont have any mates who wank over rolex watches...
azaas Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - showing respect and loving watches doesn't mean i wank over them...but hey, you're the 17 years old kid who wants to show off as if he's wearing a real rolex...guess we found out who's the one "masterbating" over the rolex idea, even though his cheap ass can't afford it xD go have a cup of tea to calm you down and show your mates your brand new Folex
nikhileshsingh Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Thank you for the information. That is a beautiful watch.Further, how does one get the exact time in a different time zone. It seems like one can only set the watch to the correct hour? Please advise!!
wiseman091190 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - I wouuldent call a 17 year old a "kid" also "showing respect and loving watches" thats not normal, you Show respect and love women not a pice of metal that tells the time,i dont see why you people are getting so pissed over my comment i did say "But they do look nice and i will probs get a real 1, i'm only 17 atm" or do you people no read the whole post and just like to argue over youtube???
azaas Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - actually the fact that you can't understand why someone would have respect and love about a mechanical achievement shows just how much of a "kid" you are....I did read your post and saw that point in the end/I just wanted to point out that there are many differences between the fake and the real one and how you would realize all that if you read a bit about mechanisms and get to wear a real one for a few moments/Sry if i overreacted, for that i apologize, but i kinda hate fakes :P
bleckjumper Says:
