This was before the "Brand New" video sparked off, so most people hadn't heard of him yet. Cursing was the icing on the cake. In fairness to Rhymesfest this crowd was hating from jump after his "Jesus Walks" (which was really good). Ghostface Killah actually got booed too, and he gave the second best performance behind Young Jeezy.

See Rudy Ray Moore homecoming 1999. They booed DOLEMITE. Remi Ma and Young City (Chopper of Making the band) gave pretty lackluster performances both deserving of Boos. Remy barely escaped the boo birds; and the crowd LOVED Young City. It was very unpredictable out there.
