April is Prevent/Awareness of Child Abuse Month. These kids were abused by strangers & loved ones - physically, emotionally, mentally, sexually or by other modes. Some of these kids were killed by the abuse. Jul 26, 2008 - Well the monster accused of poisoning my beautiful niece got away with murder!! Google Kayla Allen and you will see. April 7th was the trial and she was charged with "involuntary manslaughter"! The judge wouldn't allow the jury to know of the felony child abuse charges that are supposidly still pending but the monster walks free! One of Kayla's teachers even testified that she told her she was thrown into a doorway for asking for lunch money and when reported to DSS they said she recanted-DUH!

Jul 26, 2008 - child abuse is more common than most will ever imagine. i was, but i was one of the more fortunate. when i was 10, a 5 year old girl, Kendel Smith, that i use to read to in school... was shot and killed by her father. he tried to kill her 2 year old brother but the gun jammed. i still cry when i think about her.

I was fortunate to have a mom that loved for me enough not to hurt me, but when I think about all those children who weren't as fortunate as me it just makes my heart ache. I wish I had the money and the space, to take all those kids away from their parents and give them a home, a loving home, where they never have to be afraid again. Sometimes the most you can do is pray for them, and lend them a shoulder to cry on when you have the chance
