Oct 14, 2008 - i dont really know wat to call strung out, but id say theyre mainly punk. i mean they follow all the rules; (not in this song so much) they have fast palm muted verses, and wide-fairly basic progressions for their choruses. i think punk metal is an ugly sounding genre, but they definetly have metal worthy solos sometimes. anyways these dudes rock! \m/

People see that these guys don't use the same chord structure or vocals as "old punk" bands and have more "pop punk" influences, so they link it to "pop" music (note: not popular music) and call it "bad." They just listen to music to feel like an individual, not to hear good music.These guys have been around longer than the people crying about their genre have even been alive.Much respect to Strung Out, regardless of their "genre."

Oct 14, 2008 - I totally understand what you mean .. the only time I saw them was in Mc Allen Tx they were openning for Paparoach .. and Strung Out was out the venue selling copies from the Element of sonic defiance EP and only like4 guys and my ex gf were with them lol .. when they started ppl was like "who the fuck r uu !!" but when they started playing too close to see the villareal went down ppl liked so much and i got an astrolux as tattoo at the very next day when i went back to Mexico..I'm from Mexico

Oct 14, 2008 - hahaha! nice, the first show i went 2 in Minnesota, a few of my friends brought a bunch of powdered coffee creamer, i didnt know at the time but the shit if flammable if you do it right and the guys from strung out and if i remember right Big Wig was there, i wish i had video of it, they thought it was really sweet and were actually surprised that anybody even got into the show, there was probably 8 of us and everybody else was sitting on the floor
