Oct 14, 2008 - i know he kept that beard and hairstyle cause it makes him look and feel wiser, and it probably reminds him that he has a thinking beard on like a thinking hat or something. wonder what his thoughts are on this lol.

Oct 14, 2008 - hippies are the thinkers, the dreamers, the believers, and we wanted nothing more, NOTHING MORE, every day than to make the world a better place.

Oct 14, 2008 - (Ain't it? LOL!)

TonyFA Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - i love it how he compares the world to a human brain. makes perfect sense cuz people who are gifted who we label retards and send away to crazy homes can create their own reality within their minds.

echolalia0 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - 1. You had numbers. What was it, half of the population under 25? If ever there was a chance to change things, permanently, it was then.2. You sold out. Maybe not *you*, but yes, your generation. Most of your beloved "hippies" changed their tune when they realized they loved money more than their ideals.3. Your generation is now the one telling us to abstain until marriage, and jails us for smoking a little bit of pot. Either you all are hypocrites, or you FAILED.

nostalgiafortruth Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - Echolalia0,Change does happen, did happen, is happening. Many of the hippies' ideals were foolish, but many ideals were carried forward, evolved, and are still being carried forward by the "the cultural creatives" (google it). Focus on living your ideals instead of your tragic view of how others failed to guarantee your happiness. Because the most important ideal was that the individual must take responsibility for their consciousness instead of just conforming or blaming others.

adamberk07 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - thats some pretty extreme generalizations, not everyone in that generation is how youve come to think

betonce Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - I agree this is a great video! My favorite audio is his Still the Mind. i listen to it a lot and love it every time!

Dedalus153 Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - First off, that's a pretty wild jacket. Second off, AW leaves me speechless, as always. Third off, I never noticed before, but when the camera finds Watts, he's tiny, and at the bottom of the landscape. In other words, the video is shot like a Chinese painting! How freaking cool is that? Mark, thanks so much for posting.

ChenCenter Says:

Oct 14, 2008 - i think that was the idea. AW talks about chinese paints often in his dialogues. He loved the idea of someone "lost in the landscape"... where you'd have to nearly have to search for the so-called "subject." He's amazing and well-missed! Keep wiggling guys!
