Aug 20, 2008 - I remember when everytime we played their music, I would of just fell in love with Neil's voice. I never knew what Neil Finn looked like, so I used to imagine what he looked like through the sound of his voice. So I would always imagine him as this drop dead gorgeous bloke!!The things you do when your wee eh??? lol

Aug 20, 2008 - What's really amazing about this tune (apart from its sheer beauty) is how well it's produced. Remember folks, this was 1986: Culture Club, Duran Duran, synth drums, bass and all that. Kudos to the production, because the song sounds timeless. It could've been recorded last week. Awesome.

Aug 20, 2008 - Neil Finn is on record as saying that he wrote this song after staying in the same hotel as a Rugby League team and a women's Netball team. Not all songs have to be about the writer to have emotional impact - observational work can be moving, too. I must admit that on first hearing the song, before knowing the circumstances, I did wonder. First person stuff naturally makes you assume it's autobiographical....

Aug 20, 2008 - Thanks for letting me know how this song came about, it's nice to see where a writer's head is when he composes. Great song nonetheless, profound songwriter, have a good day!!

Aug 20, 2008 - Help me fellow YouTubers:This video reminded me of a beautiful song that's a solo piano piece (it's really short), and I can't remember the name. To complicate matters, I can't remember if it was Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Split Enz, or Crowded House that played it, but it was one of them. It's been so long since I heard it! Help! Between those four acts, there couldn't be that many songs with only piano on it (no vocals either), so I know someone out there knows it!

Aug 20, 2008 - Wasn't there a piano piece/no vocals on the Split Enz Waiata album?? I can't remember the name of the song either, but something's ringing a bell back in my memory somewhere...If I think of it I'll surely let you know!
