Aug 20, 2008 - i love march madness with all my heart but the last two years have sucked. davidson was good (jason richards! represent barrington baby!) but that was one of the few good moments. after the first round, all the games were blow outs. i think march madness is sadly dying because of the increased talent from freshmen. midmajors have to go up against teams that have kobe bryant esque players on them, giving them no shot to even make it close. i love march madness the best sports event, but its dying

It was a desperation heave turned into a lucky but unintentional alley-oop. Personally, I hate Duke, but the Laettner shot was incredible. That entire game was off the hook and Laettner's shot was the perfect icing on the cake. Coaches tell their teams in the NCAA tournament that you need six wins to win the national championship but you only need one loss to lose it...
