Aug 20, 2008 - The original tune for "The Star Spangled Banner" comes from a now forgotten British tune called "Anacroen in Heaven."

huyiy Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - My hubby and I just sat here and watched this again. He was in Nam in 1969 and now the tears are rolling down his face. He is a vet who hated the war and felt alone when he came home (I didn't know him then). He had never heard of Hendrix over there, but Jimi became his guitar hero...to this day. Gary Moore is his second. Thank you for posting. Thanks again to hawk for correcting me earlier. Peace.

Aug 20, 2008 - im uk but i have the flag on my arm, i like what it stands for(but i got ripped for saying that on a stone roses page!!!)

daafadad23 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - ok jimi hendrix always had an acid strip underneath his bandana notice how he gets so into it like at 46 he starts trippin out and then he just gets crazy with it

TarzTarkus Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - you are probably right, i might be seeing things but i think part of his bandanna is darker red then the other part which could be blood, he would sometimes cut his forehead to make the acid kick in faster, however it is much more likely the darker red is from sweat which would also help trigger the acid trip faster

Pandaless94 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Jimi Hendrix, what a great musician. Rock is true !

1407elvis Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - my step-dad got two purple hearts... he hated the Viet-Nam war but had no other prospects being a black American... (I'm white UK)... I used to think "Thank God we have a 'Hearts and Minds' policy"... This is as relevant today as it was then - note the Last Post bridge - forget the C**p about acid; this was a true patriotic track that proved his love for his fellow Americans and the unjust war in Viet-Nam... and Iraq... He saw the future.

Urmomsaloser Says:
