Hillel Neuer of UN Watch addresses UNHRC. Prequel to the banned UN Watch speech of March 23rd reveals the invective and truly offensive statements that are in fact welcomed by the supposedly reformed UN Human Rights Council. Insults against ambassadors and mocking of human rights experts; invective attacking women and gays; glorification of terrorism; Holocaust denial; demonization of Israel -- all of that and more is deemed admissible by the Council. However -- as shown on video -- only one statement was ruled "inadmissible": UN Watch criticism of the Council for ignoring victims of violations in 192 countries, and its failure to live up to the noble dream of its founders.

NATO doesn't protect anyone anymore, and the U.N. has to many problems to ever address(though it was done pretty well right there) I'm not a fan of Israel's activity in the Middle East, but seriously, it's not like their the center of the problem. I think that someone needs to take a significant stance against what the U.N. is doing. Maybe China could pull it off, Russia, etc. it wouldn't even need a majority.

May 14, 2008 - Israel is not even remotely the world's greatest human rights violater. Arguably of the world's first world nations, we are low, but of the world's third world nations, we are highest. There is more papers by AI and other human rights groups about Israel than Darfur. And Israel does more to help Darfur refugees than the UN anyway. This do not tell you something?

May 14, 2008 - I am so sick and tired of the wrongful protection of Israel. The Arab world is messed up but that doesn't take away from the wrongful actions of Israel. Israel IS the darling of the United States and it's wrong - and i'm an American saying this. My country openly supports a bad nation and it makes me sick to my stomach. Between the settlements and the occupation it really sickens me. Down with Israel - they are wrong.
