The Oversight Committee holds a hearing, "The Surgeon General's Vital Mission: Challenges for the Future." The hearing focuses on the importance of the Surgeon General's Office, the need to preserve the Surgeon General's independence, and recent limitations on the Surgeon General's ability to carry out its public health education mission. Richard Carmona, who resigned as Surgeon General in 2006, testifies about what he viewed as political and partisan pressure.

May 14, 2008 - Seems like The U.S.A is looking more and more like the move V for Vendetta. This current Bush administrator is corrupt, evil, and makes me feel shameful to be an American.

dgtubing Says:

May 14, 2008 - me too.

spartan2600 Says:

May 14, 2008 - this ins't anywhere as bad as "V for Vendetta," don't kid youselves. I do agree, though, that Bush deserves impeachment, and that he is probably the worst president of the last 100 years.

expatted Says:

May 14, 2008 - This administration decides what is best for the citizens of the USA. That is, whatever swells corporate profits. You're really an army of expendible worker ants, that don't deserve a thing that cuts into private fortunes. (Don't forget to keep consuming though.)

splashy9 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Boy, he said it all! We need what he recommends, that's for sure!

richardhg Says:

May 14, 2008 - Fundamentalists ignore any facts that do not agree with what they already believe, and they cling to those beliefs long after they are proven to be fiction. If you can believe that dinosaurs and man coexisted 6,000 years ago, then it isn't much of a stretch to weapons of mass destruction and mass murder. But that is overseas. Here in America, the President and his Fundamentalist friends are destroying the health of Americans.

cindiloohoo Says:

May 14, 2008 - Clear, concise and correct.

dallen35 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Just more testimony that points out the stupidity of this President. If George W. Bush had any intelligence and decency, he would resign and disappear. Immediately.

victor190779 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Instead of TWAT, Bush launched TWAS - the war on science. This testimony should have voters fuming. If this camarilla had been in power in the 50ies, noone would know, that smoking causes cancer.

Dumbell99 Says:

May 14, 2008 - LOL V:) I love that movie. But yeah things are sad.

NYPDwootwoot Says:

May 14, 2008 - Ill guarantee you this bit of news wont show up on FOX...the peoples channel!

yt5454 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Yet another joker who didn't speak up when it might have done some good. Thanks for nothing, dickhead.

yt5454 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Why is Pelosi too spineless to impeach those two crooks in the White House? She has "other business"?? Baloney! What could be more important to the country than getting rid of a malignant Executive Branch?

drunkdecoy Says:

May 14, 2008 - Shes smart not to waste her time. Unless you can get somthing that even republicans will say we need to kick him out then hes not going to be kicked out. Democrats cant impeach him even if every single one of them voted for it so they are focusing on things they can do which is what they should be doing, even though bush does deserve to rot in jail for his crimes.

DeeBitchez Says:

May 14, 2008 - check out my videos,it has alot of information that everyone needs to know about what is going on in this world that they dont want you to know about...enjoy

sheepwshotguns Says:

May 14, 2008 - it would look good if the democrates at least tried.im willing to bet even a failed attempt at impeachment would send the congressional approval rating threw the roof, while simultaneously weakening bush.

Eaacker Says:

May 14, 2008 - Bush doesn't believe in gravity.

nalc892 Says:

May 14, 2008 - Everyone knows that second hand smoke is GOOD for you. Why? Because Jesus in the White House says so.

MasterMark123 Says:

May 14, 2008 - how bad must it become before we take back our nation? Why are not we as citizens , Outraged with the lack of leadership from the bush admn ???
