Aug 21, 2008 - It doesn't, and I'm not saying it does. I'm only commenting on the unfortunate trend of some ignorant people to ignore works of art due to their associated genres. I once spoke to a man who referred to Giger's work as "fantasy crap", and refused to consider it 'art' in the same way he would consider , say, Leonardo. I'm sure some write off Beksinski in the same way. I'm simply saying that Beksinski's work is, to me, as important and beautiful as any art ever created.

Aug 21, 2008 - i just returned yesterday from my first trip to sanok. the museum is a short walk from the main town square, the beksinski paintings are on the top floor. you can buy books of his art there, but i haven't seen anything in english yet. my friend says she wants to translate one of the books about him into english.
