Aug 21, 2008 - Nice vid. Although could you possibly use the same bit of the song as they do on the show? That would be awesomeHowever, I hate to nitpick what is truly excellent work. Nice one!! 5*

Aug 21, 2008 - I think the user might be talking about the guy who sings the song as the theme-song for Enterprise.

Aug 21, 2008 - Anyone know where you can get Rod's verison of this???? I don't think its on an album of his and its not on iTunes

steadfastcoward Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - That was truly inspired.

slizzler1 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - should be easy enough to find out by google.

tomodinktom Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - It wasn't sped up, they put a couple of new instruments in it, to make people think it was sped up.

flip240 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - oh, that makes sense! fooled me, haha

falconwind00 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Ah yes. Also known as the "Triumphs of America" opening. I'm not sure about the submersible, but I don't see anything Russian or German represented, though they are well known for their contributions.I still think Scott Bakula made a poor starfleet captain. Archer just comes off as wooden and unconvincing. Sorry.

tremedar Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Oh yes, jump on the 'America Bashers Bandwagon', because we built the first sailing implement, and of course the HMS enterprize was an american ship. Why don't you people ragging on this intro grow a flippin brain and think about a few points. 1. Time constraints. How exactly are they to add every innovation ever made in exploration in the modern era...in 20 seconds, without giving the audience epileptic seizures from rapidly flashing from one picture to the next?

tremedar Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - 2. This show was made in the United States and primarily watched by people in the U.S, so why in the hell would they put in things done by Russians that were obscured largely by cold war politics? Why not images of events the primary audience would recognize immediately? I know next to nothing about things the Russians have done except they put a space station in orbit and named it Mir. The Apollo missions? I can run off every public-released detail there is.

tremedar Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Lastly, it is about advancements in exploration, not flag waving, or there'd be more explosions, soldiers standing valiantly over "liberated" ground. Get over your hate for current American politics and stop bashing the country as a whole. Much like the German people under Hitler, we don't have much choice, and getting out of this will be as painful.

Aug 21, 2008 - rod stewarts verison sucks like really i love russel watsons better

aswanage Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Love Rod, but no way this time

mark8240 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Russians only made contributions up to about 74' or so, first with sputnik then with the man'ed capsule and finally with Mir. Germany as a country dint do anything but build the V2 (and the V2 was a weapon not great for an opening ), it was the German scientists that had any thing to do with the space program. Finally what about the international space station thats not just USA and considering only 3 country's (2 before the show was made)have put a man in space what did you want them to do?

focus599012 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Much better!!! Finally

cassie711 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - i don't know what half of these comments have been about, but russell watson performed the song for the enterprise series. this poster ripped off the video footage and put rod stewart's version on it. geesh.

gentlemanimal Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Better... much better. Shame they didn't dig a little deeper into the paramount pockets for this version. Or do something else entirely.

Ewokgirl2001 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Russell Watson singing the theme is much better! I fell in love with him do to the season premiere. There just isn't the same emotions and pull.

Xf15smdt Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - yeah the other one is better

pcjwss Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - russians only made contributions to the space programme up until 1974?? are u on crack?

Zippoman77 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - Has anyone noticed that you can see the astronaut's footstep just as he sings strength of the soul?Maybe it's "strength of the sole"?

sephiroth2049 Says:

Aug 21, 2008 - While the Rod Stewart version is better, the Russell Watson version is more fitting for the TV show.
