Aug 20, 2008 - The "eight lines" version is easier because the part originally written for two wind players is here "distributed" among four players. So most of the time, only two out of four are playing.

Aug 20, 2008 - Funny that you should mention Hiroki Kikuta - I was just thinking that some of Reich's melodies reminded me of game music. For me, the piano sounds akin to some of Masashi Hamauzu's solo piano music. Or perhaps Junya Nakano.

rbillia Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - No, Drumming was his last piece to use Phasing, even though basically all his pieces use Canon which he describes as rhythms out of phase with each other.

El3andro Says:

Leveretis Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - People always say this. I DOES go somewhere! Just subtly. You have to listen properly to it to notice the slight changes over time. By the end it is quite different from the beginning. You'll see.

mrotsdnal Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - amazon?

conradsweatman Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Slight changes. Like the slow growth of something organic. But no grand narrative, as a work of classical or romantic music has.

djdezaofd Says:

ThisIsGodDamnShit Says:
