Aug 20, 2008 - Thats a beautiful creature, such a tactile pattern makes you want to stroke it. Although of course that may be a rather bad idea it is one of the things that compel me to this snake.

Aug 20, 2008 - i trust, chocmonk, that a true herpetologist would be able to correctly spell his profession.
jellybean10122 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - It is a natural born beauty. but deathly poisonous, its venom liquidises living tissue, and with its 5 centimetre fangs, it shouldnt have any trouble penetrating your muscle.

Aug 20, 2008 - in the united states only thirteen people have been bit. And the 13th was the only survivor.

Aug 20, 2008 - Any why is this cool? I am at home and only about 6 yards (at max) away from 3 of them... Two East African gaboons and one W. African... Nice vid, but not really worth posting??
dlmcc0202 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - beautiful snake. has the largest fangs and the highest venom yeild. The venom is nowhere near as deadly as a Cobras or a Taipans, but it injects enough to kill a man. Its a very docile snake and can actually be handled without it biting. I would not want to take a hit from those fangs though
Ozma Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - I agree. I would if not for the bite. xD

Aug 20, 2008 - Do Vipers have rattles at the end of their tails?
dodgeram2500fan Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - not all of them just the rattlesnakes.
joshuafag10316 Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - so basically, they're two seperate species? Sorry, Im not a snake expert...and in a brawl..which snake would win?
dodgeram2500fan Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - yeah but they are both members of the same family. The rattlesnake would end up with a loss because of the gaboon vipers perfect camo.
viperenix Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - favorite snake (as my name tells :P)
