Jul 26, 2008 - I am beginning this form also called tai chi kung fu fan. I had to study the yang 42 form as a prerequisite with my teacher prior to learning this form. It looks very graceful but also very difficult in controlling the opening and closing of the fan quickly.

Jul 26, 2008 - This is Tai Chi Fan. Tai Chi is a slow moving "kata" for internal energy development (and hence health) or seld defense&fighting although it takes many many years to master. THis looks like Yang style to me, although the people performing have a kung fu background as their movements are somewhat stiff. But this is why they perform the form so accurately and with such care. That is the precision of their kung fu training kicking in.
