federoide Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - now that james uses beard he thinks hes a complete bad guy =D hes voice isn't the best for singing as a bad guy like the metallica singer (i don't know how is it written), but still rock

D6M6H6 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - i dont listen to dream theatre ever but this song does sound like metallica, DT nerds just get mad cuz its true

fenderbender92 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - im not comparing, im just saying this song sounds like Metallica is all, no problem with that

Hafk Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Petrucci never needed an amp, it was all just for show.

REVERENDJOSHGODDERS Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - for god sake this is way beyond metallica even if it sounds like them

Jimbo666A1 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Metallica try to sound like DT!

cosmo8carrot Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Wait . . . so who "copied" who? I don't even know how old this song is. Don't know DT all that well. But, funny that I thought they sounded like Metallica too; guess I'm not the only one *looks at other comments.*

Donursus Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Very nice comment instead of crying about who's best I finally found one that believes in the music not the bands!!

roxodoescocaine420 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - intro sounds a lot like selkies by between the burried and me

MapexKing Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - And santa raped the tooth fairy

AngelusFromHell Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - The best Dream Theater's song, imho.

SinrXIII Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - You know, funny thing. A friend picked up the Greatest Hit album not long ago. Inside DT lists a lot of their influences, and guess what one of them is? Correct. Metallica. If you listen to I Walk Beside You it sounds like U2 or early Yes. Bands play music that sounds similar to their influences. That's how music is made folks.

SR0Penne0Brillo Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - well it had to start somewhere..so whered metallica get theres from? then them? then them?...

mauritogospel Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Al contrario...

PsychoHarakiri Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - DT = Lifeless music with no soul. Boredom times 100.

mrbig71014 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - you don't know about music... i bet you like those japanese bands who try to play as heavy and fast as they can, and they all sound like yngwie, iron maiden, paul gilbert, and even dt. i'm sorry, but the paul gilbert sound, the yngwie sound, the iron maiden sound, are already being used by paul gilbert, yngwie, and iron maiden. it's better to make creative music like dream theater, which is, by the way, GREAT music

mrbig71014 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - clearly you don't know anything about music... just because they use distorted guitars doesn' mean they copied metallica... that metallica is one of their influences like SinrIII said, yes, but, for example, john petrucci is way better guitarist than kirk hammett(he can´t live without the wah pedal), he has a lot better technique, much better tone, and a sound of his own, and the same with the other dt guys. and i like metallica too

Beatrix333lol Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - This is definetley my favorite song. And they arent copying Metallica, its like saying that everyone is copying Black Sabbath. Every metal band has their own unique twist. Of course the MAY sound alike but they are not rip offs.

FireBirdTheBand Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - this ROCKS im dream theaders biggst fan ever

Opranius Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - haha metallica is nothing, dt is all, dt is copying metallica, especially the "great" solos, sweet xD

Solfageman Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - The Album's name Systematic Chaos The Chaos is lifeless

somekindofbattery Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - the vocalist reminds me a lot of Mike Patton on the chorus. I do quite dig this song though i've never liked Dream Theater before.

IronMaiden147 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Dream Theater better than Metallica? Haha!Dream Theater is fuck great! But Metallica is God!

owaaaa984 Says:
