Rick Burgess, of the Rick & Bubba Show, took the opportunity to speak at the memorial service for his son William Bronner Burgess (also known as Cornbread on the show). Bronner had accidentally drowned in the swimming pool at their house. Rick delivers a powerful message showing his family's strong faith in God and helps us to understand what we can do to honor his Father and his son during this earthly tragedy. Part 3 of 3. Aug 20, 2008 - What a wonderful thing that has come out of this tragic accident... for you to be sharing the word of God so fervently, and such determination. Bronner was so lucky to have such a man of God as a father. Please keep sharing the word. Everything happens for a reason... may God bless your family.

Aug 20, 2008 - Well done...good and faithful servant. Only Christ could be holding this family together. He allowed Him to speak thru Rick. Our prayers are with your family. We should all honor Christ through Bronner's death. We are all challenged daily to do this. On with the battle.

Aug 20, 2008 - There are not words to describe how thankful I am that I could witness this video. MY father called me today to tell me how powerful this was in his heart and now I can not wait for my next opportunity to share this video, as well as the gospel. My prayers are with your family and your faith has awakened my family. Thank you Bronner!

Aug 20, 2008 - This was an amazing message that only God could have got you through this! Your faith has made me really think about how I live my life and how I need to praise God every day for all the blessings I have in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Sherry and your children and I love you all for standing up for your beliefs. May God bless you all!

Aug 20, 2008 - Great call to action! We need to take on the full armour of God and fight the good fight. Be about His business: feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick, and loving a lost and dying world.

Aug 20, 2008 - What a powerful statement when you said that someone has your precious child that loves him more than you do. You are so right.

Aug 20, 2008 - I set here speechless in awe of your strength in Christ. So many times in a situation such as this , I've heard people ask :Why did God put me through this? Well the Key words are through this. This means that you've made it through the trials, and they are now behind you. So God didn't put you through it , He brought you through it. I lift the Burgess family in prayer.

Aug 20, 2008 - Ricky, Sheri and children. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I too have been right were you are. I lost a son. I too spoke at his funeral. I immediately knew I had to stand and bear my testimony that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. It is not easy and the road is long. This has charged my heart with renewed conviction to share the gospel and to continue on doing what the Lord would have me do in this life to praise and honor him. Hold on brother and sister hold on.

Aug 20, 2008 - How powerful! I wish everyone could see thisand understand the Love that God has for us all. There is a song we love to sing- the words are "as you travel down lifes road he is with you every day-with every step you take he has walked ahead of you" Just know that he is in the midst. God Bless you and your family. What a great impact Little Bronner is having on this world. Christian Friends in Mississippi.

Aug 20, 2008 - When we face adversity like this, the world calls it something like backbone or courage. GOD is really showing His infinite love for each one of us and reminding us that He sees all and will do ALL He can to bring us into His Kingdom. My father and brother died unexpectedly by terrible means; twenty years later and almost five years ago, my oldest son named after me and my earthly father died in His sleep. We can all join them IF we listen to the truth in Romans 10:9-10. Heed the call.

Aug 20, 2008 - Rick, I have watched all 3 videos countless times. Thank you for obeying God. You could have easily said "God, this was my son, can you call on someone else to speak?". You are only human, but you have done a truly Godly thing by stepping aside and allowing yourself to be used as His vessel. We will continue to pray for your families. The Bryants ~Sumter SC
