But the best has always got to be the first film that one scared the crap out of me when i was a kid.

Aug 20, 2008 - Thanks! I actually went out last night and bought the II and III disc set. When I was a little kid, I would watch the first one on the daily. It never scared me at all... I LOVED the movie as a little kid. Now, I watch it and it scares the bejesus out of me. I don't know why, it just does. Strange, huh?

Aug 20, 2008 - To be honest, my mom and sister and I used to live in this one house from when I was four to about six and a half, and strange shit happened to us there. I think I dug the movie so much because it was the only thing I'd ever been exposed to that I could relate to to a certain extent... not that we were sucked into closets or anything. We moved the hell out of that joint, and I can still remember the stuff like it was yesterday. Probably why I HATE watching that movie now...

Aug 20, 2008 - Poltergeist is a classic, this first sequel was inferior but decent, the third one however is CRAP beyond belief.How anybody can regard III as a better film than either this or the original is anyone's guess.Utter craziness would be a good judgment call, that's for sure.
