orastella Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Elliot Goldenthal? The same guy who wrote the music for Interview with the Vampire?

youtoobfanatic Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - shows how the singing is dubbed in later and not all of it was live.

nuraness Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Whoa did Dana have a baby in the bun or was that just a super loose shirt?Either way, I adore her voice. They couldn't have picked a better person for the job <3

auknte8 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - the phrase is bun in the oven :)

kaybeedance Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - did you know that that part was created for her! amamzing voice!

pixeldmg Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Yeah! Julie wrote her in!

isadorastrokes Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - 90% of the movie was live, but they recorded every song too, so they could put it on the soundtrack. the cd isnt live.

missylinkin18 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - she sings like janis joñlin...goddd is amazing

wootiewootwootz Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - I have to agree with you here, she has an AMAZING voice! :D

Megajosh2 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - You can QUOTE me on this! Any person who likes the Beatles because they saw Across the Universe is not a real Beatles fan. They are a fan of Across the Universe. They are simply ATU spawns.

alyssabyss Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - what the hell!? i say they are still beatles fans because they love the same MUSIC, the same BAND, that beatles fans does!where and how they came to love a band and their music shouldn't make any difference.

legluestick Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - i think that that is what i am xD

angelakowens Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - That's not fair cause there are people who may have been too young to know who the beatles were. This movie is another way to expose people to the music and in the end isn't that what people want? I'm not a huge fan of the beatles but I like them fine.

angelakowens Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - i always thought of these two characters as an omage to Janis and Jimmy

Megajosh2 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Okay, in reference to my other comment, I'll add this for good measure... Across The Universe is like a gateway drug. You like it because it makes you feel good but you'll wanna get into the hardcore shit. The hardcore shit in this case, is the Beatles albums and singles.

JonnyfromElma Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - almost everybody in the movie represents someone who was a great rock star (most had the 27 curse hit them)the ones i know as here Satie:Janice JoplinMax:Kurt CobainJojo (black guy): Jimi HendrixPrudence:Tina Turnerthats all i know but watch the movie again and follow their actions and styles of singing and you'll get it.

whiteandnerdy2damax Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - good exept for the two main characters aren't in there.

JoaoJMatias Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - they represent themselves since the story is about them

chaoticpix93 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - I assume going under the same precept. That Jude, since he's from liverpool actually represents the actual beatles. And as far as Lucy? I'm not sure...

SpiffynessReborn Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - I am totally in with you on this - the ATU versions are pretty OK, but Beatles in the flesh are infinitely better.

BlameItOnThePenguin Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Lucy as in the song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" it would make sense...

chaoticpix93 Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - That would be simple wouldn't it? But that isn't a real person insomuch as a representation. it's not even close to the thing we're talking about here.

biggestgilmorefreak Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - all the characters are named after characters in beatles songs.

natswim4ever Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - I know. It's cool and clever, isn't it?
