===Video description:===Da Ali G Show does science. Ali G (Sasha Baron-Cohen) invited (now federal inmate and tax cheat) creationist Kent Hovind to discuss evolution. The show erroneously lists Hovind as a "Dr," but his "doctorate" was earned from an unaccredited diploma mill. For more Hovind videos look at ones made by http://youtube.com/user/ExtantDodo on youtube and for answers to Hovind's misinformation see: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/hovind/===Youtube controversy:===Eric Hovind [Kent's son] has been using false copyright claims to get youtube to pull negative material.I guess Hovind's son has gotten tired of Kent Hovind's lies getting exposed on YouTube. So his son lied and claimed he owns the copyright on videos in an effort to silence his critics:http://www.wired.com/entertainment/theweb/news/2007/09/youtube_dmca===Convicted felon===Read about Hovind's 58 felony convictions:http://www.ncseweb.org/resources/news/2007/FL/789_kent_hovind_sentenced_to_ten_y_1_24_2007.asp===Audio of Hovind lying in jail:===Listen to the Kent Hovind jail recordings played at his sentencing:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O7MxW4htxoThis one in particular has Eric Hovind plot with Kent to hide assets from the government:http://youtube.com/watch?v=HQTgn06WslE

Aug 20, 2008 - The word anastasis can only mean bodily resurrection.Paul uses anastasis as well to refer to what happened to Jesus (Rom. 1:4, 6:5; 1 Cor. 15; Phil. 3:10).Paul also uses soma-which can only refer to a physical body.He would not have said all had he not believed that Jesus was a real person

Aug 20, 2008 - With all due respect, teeny, the reason you can't understand is because you've never tried to actually stop and think of the other side. You're one track minded, is what you are, and you simply can't understand anything else other than what you are taught in school, by your teachers who hate their job but do it for the money, and simply because you've believed in evolution for so long you can't believe in anything else. THAT'S what i can't understand about people these days.

Aug 20, 2008 - Jews aren't Christian. What about Hindus?
g12er Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Thank you for the citation. You should have cited Romans 1:3 ("a descendant of David with reference to the flesh")However, as GA Wells wrote Jesus was presented by Paul as "a basically supernatural personage only obscurely on Earth as a man at some unspecified period in the past".That is, metaphorical writings were how authors wrote. This true of Platonic cosmology and other prophets who killed around the time of Christ. An example of another Jesus like figure: Apollonius of Tyana.
g12er Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - If Jesus was a real man and not a metaphorical person, where does Paul talk about Jesus life?I suggest you read "The Lost Christianities" by Dr. Ehrman on the different teachings of early Christian groups. Such as some Christians who believed in 2 Gods and others who believed in 13 Gods. You are juxtapositioning modern writing on literature from nearly 2000 years ago. Where does Paul discuss Jesus' life? Originally, I want a source that supports the Bible, but not in the Bible itself.

Aug 20, 2008 - "...simply because you've believed in evolution for so long you can't believe in anything else."That's religion: belief in a book and nothing other than dogma.Science is fact and needs proof.

Aug 20, 2008 - This is so hilarious, especially the subtle ridicule. "But do you eat bananas?"Too bad it derails to homo and feces jokes pretty fast.

Aug 20, 2008 - aahaahhaaahaahahah"i got evidence backstage says otherwise...the floater". Ali G is hilarious.on another note, since we're getting into the religion debate...religion is a great thing for billions AND billions of people but it just isn't rational. some spiritual being existed and created the entire world - well that's just ridiculous. how does that account for all the extraterrestrial matter? let alone all the conflicting views on creation.nonetheless, i respect all religions

Aug 20, 2008 - Wow westerners are so ignorant.. its either science or God.. Dont u ever think outside the box? You're both wrong.. Science is just a way of man trying to understand the mysteries of God's natural order. When we study evolution we are just going backwards.. What? God isnt powerful or smart enough to have created this system??
nothingtoobig Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - ali g is just some actor u idiot
g12er Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - "...to understand the mysteries of God's natural order."You presuppose God. What is your evidence?
g12er Says:
Aug 20, 2008 - Good quote, and he explained that further:"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of all that exist, not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and actions of men."--Albert EinsteinEinstein and Spinoza did not use God in the sense of Christianity. Rather as a metaphor for the greatness of nature. So what's your point?
