timmyin Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Oh. xD I guess the whole PV stint is quite popular in Japan, judging from the sheer amount of these, then.

Ibanezdude16 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i think it means "promotional vid"

just6822 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - That sounds about right.

smpl90s Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - sounds like brand spankin' new nylon strings to me.. couldn't tell you the brand, but google some popular nylon string brands and i'm sure you'll get a similar if not damn sweet sound. Part of it is the guitar itself which is probably like 1000000 dollars... but the strings do a lot of the work too lol

zootallures Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I always thought he used steel strings? =SAnd also judging by the bridge, it looks more like those pegs used to push the ball on the strings in. Not suuure though lol

smpl90s Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - yeah you're right about the bridge... how odd.Judging by the sound of the higher notes and harmonics, they sound like nylon strings, but I could always be wrong lol.

zootallures Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Time to experiment lol. Cheers for the help =)

honeybucket93 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - how would the strings be nylon? that sounds insane.

timmyin Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - those are 100% steel strings. Maybe flat tops or double-wounds, but there is no way he would get the steel twang and harmonic overtones like these from a nylon-stringed guitar. Especialy with his body shape. Go listen to a steel-string guitar stringed with nylons (ala Satriani's Tears in the rain) and you'll hear the difference yourself.

ktran11 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - haha yeah def steel strings, thats no question about that. nylon has no tension and low on contact, plus this tuning is too low for nylon.

ktran11 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - ah i love this song, playing it is so fun. I used to play in DADGAD all the time, but who knew this song can even come out of that tuning, amazingg.

invador50 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - he does use steel strings, you just have to put the guitar in the right tuning :) I have a taylor 516ce acoustic/electric with a fender Acoustasonic Junior DSP Amp. with seemingly the exact tuning and i get the same sound.

catman671 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - my favorite part of the song would be i guess the chorus, where the tapping is?and sorta b4 that, not the "verse" if you may.

Yamazaru90 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - AWESOMENESS! X3 im learning this right after i finish up with Cherry Blossom Time

tacular Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - when ever i try to tune it to this. it sounds all retarded haha.. if someone can. show me how to tune properly so that it sounds better. not.... bleh haha. thanks.

saboo480 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - well hmm starting from standard tuning, you tune the sixth string hmm or low e string down to a d and then the second string or b string down to an a hmm and then the first string or high e down to a d not hard ^-^

engidaGita2044 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - It tuned like this: DADGAD. Kotaro is soo coool!^^

Chomite Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - This song is insanely hard to play...God I need to get an acoustic rather than old classic. I can't play this song at all with this junk.

hakimimaru Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - somebody knows where can i download this song??

hakimimaru Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - i already have the music.

chickenyogurt Says:
