Aug 20, 2008 - Like Caesar; shankly left his legacy, an empire that would go on and dominate europe. Just wish he hadnt gone so soon. Every liverpool fan needs to draw upon His inspiration and maybe, maybe we can do this thing.

Aug 20, 2008 - It doesnt matter we didnt overcome chelsea again. We cme damn close, and we didnt have a right to; really. But i swear it now and swear it now and forever more. Liverpool, my town, my people, we will rise again: because the power generated by our fans is immense. It is in many ways just detail that we didnt get to moscow this year, for over the full course of time we will conquer. YNWA.

Aug 20, 2008 - Yeah great person and great manager and this is comming from a man utd fan.I must say its nice how there is no micky takes about this on youtube like there is about munich and there is no disrespect being said about shankly. thats nice...I must say that its only a minority of fans but it seems to be liverpool fans who love to sing about disasters, aswell as leeds but there just scummy bastards.

Aug 20, 2008 - I would be very surprised if "downtwothenleft" WASNT an Evertonian. I mean the only thing ya ever get out of ALOT of evertonians is that us reds are murderers. And for what LJMaster said, your right mate, people who say bad things about disasters are scum, Im even including liverpool fans who say stuff cause I am not stupid enough to believe that all reds are innocent, cause lets face it, there not. Although, Man united fans do have there fair share of idiots aswell.

Aug 20, 2008 - In 1974, a couple of weeks after Shanks retired, 2 mates and I (we were aged 10)went to Shanks house (we were cheeky tykes!) and I asked him to sign the front cover of the '74 cup final programme, the bland cover had a picture of the cup in the middle. "Sign across the Cup please Bill" said I. "Nae laddie, y'cannae deface the FA cup; men give blood & sweat & tears for the cup. It's almost Holy son" & with that he signed across the botom of the page. Always one for educating, a great man.
