Aug 20, 2008 - qwerty424424 No not Rock and roll.She certainly puts Jazz and their isnt a Ska song on Frank.If anything Frank goes further back than Back to Black with the arrangements.Frank is more Pre 50s Jazz/Blues with Someone to watch over me,Moodys Mood for love and There is no greater love as is Cherry and B2B is more 60s soul sound.On Frank October song is about as near to Rock'n' Roll as possible.But Rock'n' Roll did develope from these styles but I just think the style predates this.Continued

Aug 20, 2008 - I agree with drogsma. She has an original rock n roll attitude. She may not be in a rock band, but Jazz has been incorporated into Blues and Rock N Roll. The Doors' original concept was to involve a lot of Jazz. And the rock n roll attitude seems to have stemmed from the old blues raw musical soul. Which is where most good, emotional, intelligent music comes from. Dogsma meant it as an artistic identity, not a sound.

Aug 20, 2008 - Ironic or what..Amy is doing stuff like the Wizard of Oz.Judy Garland{the original Dorathey in the film}died of drink and drugs.Diana Ross who appeared in the remake with Michael Jackson also played Jazz/blues legend Billie Holliday in the film Lady sings the blues.Billie Holliday died of drink and drugs.Billie Holliday and Amy have both sung the song Someone to watch over me.That said I do think Amys version sounds more like Etta James's{different tempo but similar voices}
