Jul 26, 2008 - Some christians argue that, whilst they admit that the testamonium has been embellished, there must have been a reference to Jesus in this part of the text. However the text surrounding the reference to Jesus does not need any of the testamonium for continuity. Vossius, a scholar from the late 16th century, had a manuscript of Josephus without the passage at all. This suggests that the testamonium could be a total insertion.

Microuniverse Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Dear Youtubers, A Following verse from the Quran: [1] In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.[2] Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;[3] Most Gracious, Most Merciful;[4] Master of the Day of Judgment.[5] Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek,[6] Show us the straight way,[7] The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

SusieArviso Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Good job sweetheart. But genuine Christianity isn't a world religion. God has always wanted relationship with us, and Christ is His way of making that possible. There are genuine Christians & false Christians. If someone wanted to meet God and know the truth, it would be JESUS that confronts them. Read my profile.

religiousatheist Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I'm sorry but I just have to point out athiests are not "helpless in a burning building". We can help ourselves just fine. It's beautiful that you want to save people. Really-it is.The problem is that Muslims (et others) feel the same so at least one of you are wrong. With every beat of my heart, every step I take, I try to give love, not judge and help others. If I burn in hell for that (hell originally meant "the ground" by the way.The Hebrew word was "sheol")then that is not a loving God.

TracerAdvanced Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - People go to Hell because of sin. You sin once, you automatically go there because God is perfect- and cannot allow sin in his presence. The only way to be cleansed of that sin if through Jesus, whom God sent to save us because of his love.

religiousatheist Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - we have to understand the meaning of those words like sin (to miss the mark) hell(the ground, which everyone returns to when they die) angel (messenger)soul ruwach in Hebrew which means something VERY different than "soul")heaven (the sky, NOT a paradise). If you study the etymology of the words Christianity uses. These words meant something entirely different than what people today use them to mean. I believe in ELohim. Do you know this word? But indeed I respect your right to believ as you do.

TracerAdvanced Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - The bible uses many words for "Hell", as you may call it. And the words we use today may not have the same meaning in terms of origin, but their meanings have changed, as many words do. Hell is better known in the bible as the "Lake of fire", the bible says in itself that then angel is the messenger in the footnotes, and so on.

BossGotheric Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - religion. God. Jesus. Mary etc. The bible is like going through someone elses family photo album.. Its boring! Will i be mentioned in a later edition as a descendant? Religion, GO TO HELL.

crossessolonely Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Are you atheist? How many stars are in the universe? you don't know. nobody can count the stars in the universe.. If you knew 0.1% of everything.. this is out of every single detail in the history of everything and everyone, everywhere, you would know an awful lot, nobody knows even 0.1% of everything.. Consider the vastness of everything.. You don't know even 0.1% of it all, imagine if you knew 100%, even you must admit, even if only to yourslef, that there could be proof of God.God Bless x

BossGotheric Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - thats in no way proof. If i know so little (you also) then why would we be needed? We are expendable for knowing so little with no time to reach 100%. Suitable for nothingness like an ant is to us. Im not atheist. I am far removed from religious derivatives.

thehunjo2 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - weak!!!

elpanchito421 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Can't people just realise that religion is clearly made up? There MAY be a god, yes, but organised religion has one purpose and that is to control people.

butter12420 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - you do actually have a point

Velayasha Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - eloanchito, Don't you think that's just a little too easy? Your statement that organized religion is to control people? There's no doubt that religion does that at times. But the problem is Man. Not religion. Think about it. When Christianity first arrived on the scene, they were persecuted. But believers were willing to die for what they believed. That wasn't control issues. It was simply faith. There's nothing wrong with that.

TheDoucheFairy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - christianity is based on fear... if you study most christians they will keep on saying *you will go to hell if you do that* well that tells me they are scared into a belief so they don't go to a made up place like "hell"

Infuzor Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - What do you believe more? That we evolved from "monkeys", or that were a spawn of an inbred relation of Adam and Eve, lol?

Velayasha Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - DoucheFairy Geez! Couldn't u pick a better screen name than that? Anyways, like eloanchito...your analysis is way too simple. And in most cases, untrue. Are there people who ar scared into religion? Probably. But fear is not why most people believe. It is most of Mankind's nature to believe in a Being or Beings higher than ourselves. Man was worshipping God or gods long before Christianity came along. You know that. How we worship usually depends on upbringing and culture.

TheDoucheFairy Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - okay first off my username has nothing to do with me lol, its a joke name that me and my friends came up with for my gaia online account and i chose to use the same username on my youtube account. plus, christians are really hateful, i had personal experiences of hate. I am bisexual, i was harassed by christians because of that. i am a furry, i was harassed because of that. I have no religion i am harassed by my family because of that, people want other people to be the same as themselves why

tommyk77 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I agree. The Bible is laced with "fear of god". Fear is a very big theme in the faith

Velayasha Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - DoucheFairy, What on Earth is a furry?? Anyways, I'm a christian and I have gay friends. I don't preach to them. They know where I stand. You probably have just ran into mean people. There are plenty of christians who would not hate on you. Real christians know that living the christian life is tough. And it's all we can do to keep our own houses clean. We don't have the time, energy or inclination to hate people that aren't like us. That's Christianity...Jesus style.

Metal4thewin Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I believe that everything is evolving, and before homo sapiens were less intelligent and more primal, but evolved over a long amount of time.

bbullish2 Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - Christianity is a copy of older religions, that originates from the worship of the Sun.

mashlikesgolfface Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - yh...i herd dat on zietghiest

Velayasha Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - I saw Zeitghiest and I was not impressed at all. I knew everything it said in the video, 15 years ago. Christian scholars are very aware that there were previous versions of the Madonna and Child throughout history. The prohecy was around in many cultures. But we christian believe Jesus is the real deal. The true fulfillment of that prophecy.
