Anime does help spread Japanese culture to the states, which should be considered a good thing, not a bad one.

Water Me is a heck of a better song than It's Gonna Rain, and Even So, Bonnie's album, is probably the best album in JPOP history. I mostly prefer J-Urban artists like Soulja and May J. anyway. Really anti-anime fans are just as bad as die hard anime fans.

Jul 26, 2008 - I agree with clairefedfield but I do have to say although anime originally got me into J-pop it's not the only reason I appreciate their music and since I discovered J and K pop anime has been far from the reason why I listen to it.. I value the artist themselves rather then the anime series it possibly comes from.. When I listen to foreign music I research the song, the artist and its origin that is what draws me to Asian music in general.
