Jul 26, 2008 - To me the ACC championship in 2004 was better than winning the NCAA Championship in 2002. In 2002 that Maryland team was expected to make the Final Four in Atlanta, so winning the title was icing on the cake. In 2004, Maryland was on the bubble going into the ACC tournament and had to win 1 game to MAYBE get in the NCAA's, and to beat Wake Forest, N. C. State and then beat Duke, who won 5 CONSECUTIVE ACC tournaments in THEIR backyard made this win better than winning the National Championship.
