Oct 11, 2008 - From what I've read about heroes such people are usually those you would least imagine to be; and they never say they deserve praise for their act.
thejude82 Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - the truth is, almost nobody would do that.
NJtoTX Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - It's one thing to think about it, it's another to react in an instant. They are lying, but they're really lying to themselves.
femison2002 Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - If I am asked what I would do. I would also say I am gonna help like others in the interview. But would I even think of helping at that moment or know what to do? Lets stop deceiving one another.

Oct 11, 2008 - Re: almost no one would do that...Every single day firemen go into burning buildings to save strangers. These firemen have families. There are more heroes out there than most people imagine

Oct 11, 2008 - You cant really say yes or no if that situation happened to you, you have no idea how u'd react with your adrenaline its just very fortunate it happened and there wasnt another tragic death on the news

Oct 11, 2008 - but fireman are heros by their job calls for it... this guy did this without any safety equipment or anything for free.
agentmuller80 Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - Those people say they would have done the same thing, but they were peobably the ones sitting around watching while this man was the only one who jumped into action. That guy that got saved is lucky Mr. Autrey was riding the subway that day.
semiraalize Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - Yeah right . . . suddenly everyone on the subway would risk their life to jump onto the tracks- I don't think so. It's so easy to say what you WOULD HAVE done IF you were there. I'm sure most of those people would have stood there with their mouths open and pointing, telling their friends "look!" as the train crushed that 20 year old boy and still would have had their mouths open when they saw his remains after the train had passed . . . denial is a disease people. Get real.
seka1986 Says:
