May 14, 2008 - I've thought about laser eye correction myself off and on but it's such a risk, I am very very short sighted and my glasses prescription is -6.00 in the high range where serious medical eye conditions can occur.

May 14, 2008 - I had this done last week in Windsor Ontario. Both my eyes were done in 10 minutes. This was cool to watch, but don't let it scare you out of the surgery. It didn't hurt at all, I slept for 6 hours after going back to my hotel. I don't think my eyes bled, and the flap was closed in just a few strokes. I was totally awake the whole time. Best $1500 I ever spent! Do your homework and find a doctor with a good reputation.

May 14, 2008 - What are those circle marks the doctor made in the beginning?

May 14, 2008 - Im glad i didnt watch this before i had my eyes done - no pain but looks horrible. they fucked up on my right eye a bit
xxgooglexxman Says:
May 14, 2008 - Nope, your awake the entire time. Your eyes have no nerves in them so it doesn't hurt at all. In theory you could stick a needle through your pupil and not feel much if any thing

May 14, 2008 - What was the name of the surgeon that performed the operation? My Mom hers today and it seemed Mr. J. Kevin Belville was quite impressive.

LASIKNightmare Says:
May 14, 2008 - Now is not the time to have refractive surgery in the United States. European patients have access to far better lasers, topographers, etc. Ask your doctor when the US FDA will approve the 1000 Hz iVIS laser platform so you can receive the smoothest ablation available today, for the best post-op vision.

May 14, 2008 - Video is upside down!
sleva079 Says:
May 14, 2008 - The video isn't upside down. The surgeon doens't lean over the patient's body while doing the procedure. He works from the head of the bed so this video is exactly what the surgeon sees.

May 14, 2008 - man did i hate having this done back in december. i can remember the whole time just wanting it to be over with. it's ridiculously uncomfortable having you eyelids pried wide open & you cant move. and that purple strobe flash thingy laser/whatever? you can feel it. it feels like someone blowing on your eyeball. to anyone thinking about having this done, prepare yourself.
